Based on the feedback I’ve received on the first draft of my short story, I plan on making a few changes to what I have so far as well as adding much more. I need to think more about what I want the arc of the story to be and have the story more structured. Going into this, I was just basically writing as thoughts came, but now I want my story to be more planned. The plan I have is to start more abrupt – maybe cut out a little of the class description and start lower down where some of the action is in order to hook in the reader more. I will also make sure to add more dialogue between the narrator and Harden to signal what’s to come at the end of the story.
